David Galton-Fenzi, Group Sales & Marketing Directorat Zycko commented: "FalconStor's open solutions are the best match on the market for Hitachi's leading storage product set. The combination of Hitachi Data Systems' high availability five nines guarantee and FalconStor's leading virtualisation and data protection software, results in a unified product that we expect to address the current gap in virtualisation solutions for mid-sized companies. "The demand for more effective data protection solutions has never been greater, as IT organisations adjust their backup design and seek more efficient approaches to safeguard their physical and virtual environments", said Guillaume Imberti, FalconStor vice president and general manager, EMEA operations. "Through this partnership with Zycko, we will enable resellers and solution providers to deliver proven technology that meets the data protection and recovery needs of the new data centre." Galton-Fenzi continued: "2009 was a year that saw the channel concentrating on carbon friendly solutions and financial efficiency. FalconStor customers can claim a return on investment of almost 450% in only 6 months, as well as significant savings on tape drives and hardware. We know this is the type of partnership our resellers and ultimately the end user will truly benefit from." Chris Sweetapple, Director of Alliance partnerships at HDS commented: "Technical alliances are an excellent way for vendors and OEMs to add value to their own products. We are very pleased with the alliance as we see FalconStor as an excellent front-end fit for our storage solutions. By working together, vendors can reduce costs and boost speed to market which ultimately increases the value add, and benefits the customer."
