.... & I'm finished & sent it off to Wayne.

Just as well, the youngest offspring kept grabbing the camera & I spent ages looking for it. It was driving me crazy.

Now, anybody want to know the temperature when I run at 2.8GHz? Too bad if you don't. It's jumping around the 38-40c mark with ambient at 21c.

That's pretty decent. Actually, that's most definitely decent. :)

Give me an hour of running Prime95 & I'll post temperatures at 3GHz.

Thing is; 2.8 @ 1.275 v Prime stable.
2.9 @ 1.350 v " "
3.1 @ 1.55 v " "

The 2.8 GHZ @ 1.275v seems like the 24/7 speed. I was able the run 3DMark 06 at 3GHz before the water cooling but it wasn't Prime95 stable.

Urgh, it's now 1900 & temperatures are flicking between 47-48c. Ambient 69f & 20.5c.

EDIT:

3.1 @ 1.55 v
I meant to say 3.01. I'm trying 3.1 now @ 1.575v.

Did I mention how satisfied I am with this water cooling?

No luck @ 3.1GHz, Prime error after less than ten minutes. Think my 530W PSU is letting me down as it was only giving the CPU 5.04-5.48v although I set 1.575v in the Bios. It used to overvolt but maybe having the pump & those 120mm fans now drawing power it is a little too much for it.

If/when I get bored I might try running pump/HD/DVD & some fans on the power from my ancient 98SE system.

Back at 2.8GHz & trying 1.250v.

No go at 1.250. Prime error after 44mins.

I flipped the four pin molex power connectors for my case fans so they are running silent. Never had such a quiet case.

This is embarrasing.

I moved the system back to where I did all the stuff but disconnected the WC for the move.
When I got it all set up again I attached the CPU block a bit tighter. Ambiant is 19c, CPU is 2.8@1.275 & the cores are flicking between 34-36c under Prime95.

Got no backplate on the Mobo as the "posts" (long screws for attaching block) were not compatible so I didn't tighten things as much as I should have it seems.

Obviously I'm even happier with my water cooling now.
